GV Lawyers has acted as sole legal team for the seller in a sale of its shares for an undisclosed sum in a Vietnamese billion USD technology corporation, specializing in digital content and online entertainment, social networking, and e-commerce; the buyers are an investment fund in Korea and a financial corporation focusing on asset management and investment banking in Korea, Singapore and Vietnam. We played the essential role in efficiently assisting the seller in advising on the deal structure, Fx matters, tax regime, drafting – negotiating for sale and purchase shares agreement and the relevant transactional documents. The deal closed in March 2021.
