Dear Valued Customers and Partners,
GV Lawyers would like to introduce to you the Legal Newsletter Issue No. 07 of July 2024.
- This newsletter will catch you up on (i) base salary and regional minimum wage, (ii) restructuring loan terms for customers facing difficulties, (iii) amending and supplementing the conditions for foreign loans without government guarantee, and (iv) additional principles for purchase and sale of corporate bonds by credit institutions.
- Why is the Supreme People’s Court planning to issue a separate case law on the exemption from consularization of foreign papers and documents in arbitration proceedings? In the article “”Unraveling” the problem with consularization of foreign documents”, Ms. Tran Nguyen Phuong Anh, Paralegal of GV Lawyers will analyze the conflicting legal interpretations in two cases from the same court on consularization of foreign documents in arbitration proceedings, thereby showing the need to promulgate a case law on exemption from consularization of foreign papers and documents in arbitration proceedings.
- In the section “Legal Guidance“, we will keep you updated about the questions on tax policies and invoices such as: (i) Tax policy when merging enterprises; (ii) Personal income tax policy for golf activities; (iii) Tax policy for land lease right transfer activities; and (iv) Issue invoices to collect electricity and water bills.
- The Government’s official reduction of value added tax by 2% until the end of 2024, along with the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s proposal to sell self-use rooftop solar power to EVN at VND 671 per kWh is the centerpiece of the section “Good readings for you”.
