Disputes in construction are often very complex due to the high value of the disputes and the large number of participants, making it difficult to determine responsibility. Resolving disputes in accordance with the law, in a fair and timely manner, has long been a major concern for project owners, contractors, and even the government, as a stalled construction site can lead to significant economic and social consequences. Among alternative dispute resolution methods, mediation has gained increasing attention in recent years due to its advantages in confidentiality, short resolution time, and, most importantly, preserving goodwill and cooperation between the disputing parties.
On the upcoming October 30, the Vietnam International Commercial Mediation Center (VICMC) in collaboration with the Vietnam Society of Construction Law (SCLVN) will organize a webinar with the theme: “Dispute Boards and Commercial Mediation in the Construction Sector”. The webinar will feature Mr. Luong Van Ly, Senior Advisor at GV Lawyers, Member of the Executive Board of VICMC, and Member of the Advisory Board of SCLVN, as the Discussion Coordinator. He will introduce and discuss the specific contributions that mediation can bring to parties in the construction sector.
