Dear Valued Customers,
Global Vietnam Lawyers (GV Lawyers) would like to share with you Legal Newsletter Issue No. 11 of November 2025.
- This newsletter will catch you up on the new regulations on minimum wages for employees working under labor contracts, on late payment and evasion of compulsory social insurance and unemployment insurance, as well as new regulations on corporate accounting regimes that enterprises should keep updated on for legal compliance purposes.
- Is it mandatory for a patient to sign a medical service contract with the healthcare provider or, in order to undergo surgery, must they commit to taking full responsibility at their own risks? What happens if they refuse to sign? In the article “Balancing risks and responsibilities in providing medical services”, Lawyer Do Duc Anh from GV Lawyers analyzes the legal aspects surrounding the signing of medical service contracts between patients and healthcare facilities. He also recommends that state management agencies review and implement a unified and consistent approach to these commitment documents to ensure a fair balance between the patient’s right to receive treatment and the healthcare provider’s right to exemption from legal liability.
- In the section “Legal Guidance“, we will keep you updated about the questions related to tax policies and invoicing such as: (i) Value-added tax policy for foreign contractors; (ii) Value-added tax policy for wood chips; (iii) Issuance of electronic invoices for signed contracts; and (iv) No issuance of invoices when receiving amounts that have been paid on behalf of state agencies.
- Officially, the personal income tax family deduction will be raised to VND 15.5 million per month starting in 2026, along with a Proposal to remove mandatory notarization/authentication for 8 types of transactions. Those are noteworthy points in the section “Good readings for you”.
- The last part of the Legal Newsletter is, as usual, the list of selected latest legal documents.
