On June 24, 2025, the National Assembly passed Resolution No. 206/2025/QH15 (“Resolution 206”) on a special mechanism to handle difficulties and obstacles caused by legal regulations, in which, for the first time, the National Assembly allowed the Government to issue a Resolution to adjust a number of provisions of laws and resolutions of the National Assembly during the period when such provisions and resolutions have not been amended or supplemented.
The issuance of a Resolution to amend the law must comply with the principles and requirements of Resolution 206, specifically as follows:
Resolution 206 takes effect from June 24, 2025 to February 28, 2027 is considered an institutional breakthrough when for the first time the National Assembly grants the Government the power to directly amend the law to flexibly handle urgent issues that cannot be amended in time, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.
